Before he became one of the premier players in the game today Nomar Garciaparra already had quite an impressive resume. In 1992 he played on the U.S. summer olympic team and following that was a college All-American batting .363. As if that was not enough Nomar was chosen to represent the United States at the 1992 World Games in Tokyo. Following this tremendous performance he was drafted by the Boston Red Sox and entered their farm system in 1995. This jersey dates from Nomar's 1995 season with the AA Trenton Thunder in which he was selected to the Eastern League All-Star team. In the neck of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label with the size "Adult 42." On the left front tail is an additional "Rawlings" label with an adjacent size tag reading "42." Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Trenton" and on the back is the player number "5." The letters and numbers are made of green on blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve of the jersey is the "JFM" patch that was worn to commemorate the death of team owner James Maloney the year before. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The jersey comes with an additional letter of authenticity on Trenton Thunder team stationary.
