A colorful lefty who disarmed batters with a show-stopping curve, Barry Zito's pre-game routine centered around 30 minutes of yoga. His fine debut with the A's in 2000 (7-4, 2.72 ERA in 92 2/3 innings) and a strong start against the Yankees in ALCS convinced Oakland that Zito was ready to handle the second slot in the rotation in 2001. He responded with a breakthrough sophomore season. On the inside left front tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label and adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 2 2001." Below the Rawlings label is the size tag, "50." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Athletics" in script-style letters and on the back is a green nameplate with the name "Zito." The player number "75" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the jersey. All the letters and numbers are made of gold on white tackle twill. There is an inscription on the back of the shirt reading "Barry Zito Used 01 Win." The autograph rates a 9. There is some fraying on the front letters and numbers. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
