As a rookie, Mark McGwire hit a record 47 homeruns and was the unanimous choice for Rookie of the Year honors. This was but a glimpse of things to come as Big Mac went on to become on of the most prolific power hitters of our time. This jersey dates from the 1996 in which McGwire hit a career high .312 with 52 round trippers. It can be considered one of his best all around performances. On the right front tail is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size "52." Adjacent to this are two flag tags. One reading "100% Polyester" and the other reading "2" Extra Body Length." Next to these is a white label with the year "1996." Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Ahtletics" and below this is the player number "25." On the back of the jersey is a white nameplate with the player name "McGwire" and below this is the number "25." All letters and numbers are made of green on yellow tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
