Bob Welch came up to the big leagues in 1978 with the LA Dodgers and quickly became known as a hard throwing fast ball pitcher. A two time All-Star, Welch was presented with the Cy Young award for his performance during the 1990 season. On the right front tail is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size "46." Adjacent to this it the "100% Polyester" flag tag. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Athletics" and below this is the player number "35." Both are done in green on yellow tackle twill. On the back of the jersey is a restored white nameplate with the player name "Welch" in solid green tackle twill. Below this the number "35" in green on yellow tackle twill. On the left sleeve is "A's" logo patch and on the right sleeve is the "25th Anniversary" patch. There is an autograph on the front of the jersey that reads "Bob Welch 1990 Cy Young", and the autograph rates an 8. The jersey shows game-use and other than the nameplate appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
