Carl Yastrzemski is an 18-time All-Star, the possessor of seven Gold Gloves and a member of the 3000 hit club. He is the Red Sox' all-time leader in career RBIs, runs, hits, singles, doubles, total bases and games played. In 1967, Yastrzemski achieved a peak in his career, leading the Red Sox to the AL pennant for the first time in over two decades, in that season being voted the MVP and being the last winner of the Triple Crown Award. On the left front tail is the “McAULIFFE” manufacturer’s tag. Directly above is the year “1972” embroidered tag and below the size “44” tag. Jersey measures out larger in the chest and tapers down throughout the body. Across the front is “RED SOX”. Player number “8” appears on the back. All numbers and letters are done in red on navy blue felt. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use with minor baseball related staining. As fine a Yaz flannel as you can get.
