1923 was the inaugural year of Yankee Stadium. Led by Babe Ruth, the team marched onto the field wearing their wool sweaters. Peter Capolino, founder of Mitchell & Ness has meticulously recreated this sweater to the exact details of the original. The sweater fits men’s size 48 to 50. Attached to the rear neck is the “Blueberry Woolens” manufacturers tag with two attached flag tags; one reading “100% WOOL” and one with washing instructions. On the left chest is the Yankees interlocking “NY” logo in navy blue. Inside the front right tail is a strip tag reading “New York Yankees 1923” embroidered.
