The 1961 season witnessed one of the most amazing performances in all of baseball as Yankees teammates Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris went head-to-head for the all-time, single-season homerun record. This National League crew were the umpires at Crosley Field when the Yankees captured Game 5 and became World Champions, thus signing on a Warren Giles Official National League ball when they would have all appeared together. Our research indicates this might be the only complete umpire signed ball from the 1961 World Series. Signed by: Jocko Conlon (HOF), Vinnie Smith, Ken Burkhart, Ernie Stewart & Frank Walsh in blue inks. Incredible condition and in our opinion rates a 9/10. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
