A top third baseman in MLB history, Brooks Robinson is a 16-time Gold Glove Award winner and is an 18-time All-Star. A two-time World Series champion, American League MVP and World Series MVP, Robinson was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983 on the first ballot. On the inside of the front right tail is the Rawlings size “42” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Affixed to this tag is a PSA/DNA hologram serial number “AJ87157”. Attached is a flag tag that reads, “SET 1 1977”. Across the chest reads “Orioles”. The player number “5” appears on both the front and on the back and across the back reads the player name, “ROBINSON” on an off-white nameplate. All numbering and lettering is done in orange on black tackle twill. Robinson signed the front of the jersey in blue marker with the added inscription “HOF 83” and in our opinion rates a strong 8. This jersey has been conclusively Photo-Matched to an Orioles Old Timers event. The team held on to his game-used jersey from his final season as a player in 1977 and reissued it to Robinson for subsequent use. This is likely the final jersey Robinson wore. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by a Photo-Match.com LOA, a MEARS LOA grading the jersey a perfect A10, a Full JSA LOA and a PSA/DNA COA.
