The "Iron Man", Cal Ripken Jr. was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007 on the first ballot. A two-time American League MVP, Ripken was a 19-time All-Star, has his No. 8 retired by the Baltimore Orioles franchise and was named to the MLB All-Century Team. Inside the front left tail is the Rawlings manufacturer’s tag size “48” with washing instructions and an attached flag tag reading “SET 1 1989”. Adjacent below is a box tag reading “T” and adjacent to the right is a tag reading “2 INCH EXTRA LENGTH”. Across the chest reads “Orioles” in script style writing. The player number “8” appears below and on the back and across the back reads the player name “RIPKEN” on an orange nameplate. All numbering and lettering is done in black on white tackle twill. On the right sleeve is a Rawlings logo embroidered. Ripken signed the front of the jersey in black marker and in our opinion rates a 9. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
