Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer's 1990 junior season ranks as one of the greatest seasons for a quarterback in college football history. He passed for 5,188 yards and 41 touchdowns in 12 regular-season games, and finished the year with 42 NCAA records. Detmer was also honored with the Maxwell and Davey O'Brien awards and was recognized as a consensus first-team All-American. On the front left tail is the Russell Athletic manufacturer’s tag size “44” with washing instructions and an attached flag tag reading “100% NYLON”. The player number “14” appears on the front and back painted in blue. Across the back is the player name “DETMER” in blue vinyl lettering. Detmer signed the front of the jersey in blue marker with the added inscription “#14 Heisman 1990” and in our opinion rates a 5. Prior evidence of framing is present however it does not affect the displayability. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
