Steve Young was named the MVP of the NFL in 1992 and 1994, the MVP of Super Bowl XXIX and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2005, the first left-handed quarterback to be so honored. He ranks third in NFL history in career passer rating among NFL quarterbacks who have thrown at least 1,500 passing attempts. In 1994, Young completed 70.3% of his passes, threw for 35 touchdowns and 3,969 yards. On the left front tail is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions. Attached is the size “44” flag tag. On the left chest is an “NFL 75” year anniversary patch. Player number “8” appears on the front and on the back in white on black tackle twill. Player name “YOUNG” appears across the back in white tackle twill on a red mesh nameplate. On each sleeve is the “Wilson” logo embroidered. Young signed the back player number “8” in black pen and in our opinion, rates a 7. Also on the back player number “8” is JSA sticker “B83957”. This jersey comes with a notarized letter from our consignor stating that the item was acquired directly from former 49ers running back Adam Walker. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriately light use. Accompanied by a Full JSA.
