Dave Winfield was one of the best athletes to play the game of baseball and became a first-ballot Hall of Famer in 2001. Inside the rear sweatband is the New Era manufacturer’s tag with an adjacent tag reading the size “7 3/8”. Winfield signed underneath the brim in black marker and in our opinion the signature rates an 8. Also handwritten underneath the brim is the player number “31” in black marker. This cap is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used attributed to Dave Winfield and shows use. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
