Walter Alston was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983. A four-time World Series champion, Alston’s No. 24 is retired by the Los Angeles Dodgers franchise. On the front left tail is the Spalding manufacturer’s tag size “46”. Embroidered below is the coaches-name “Alston 61” in blue script. Across the chest reads “Los Angeles” and on the back is the coaches-number “24” in blue felt. The coaches-number “24” also appears on the front in red felt. Inside the waistband of the pants is the Rawlings manufacturer’s tag size “38” with an attached flag tag reading “SET 1 1964” and a tag with washing instructions. Adjacent is a strip tag reading “Alston 38/37 27 ins” embroidered in blue. Equipment manager handwritten notations are seen next to this strip tag in black marker. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as coaches-worn and shows wear.
