A two-time MVP and perhaps the best catcher in major league history, Johnny Bench led the league in HRs twice and RBIs three times. His Cincinnati Reds dominated the NL in the 1970s winning four pennants and back-to-back world championships in 1975-76. Manufacturer: Louisville Slugger Model Number: B278 Length: 35.25 inches Weight: 31.8 ounces Wood: Ash Finish: Flame Burned. This bat shows evidence of excellent use with a handle crack. Several ball marks and ball stitch marks are visible on the left barrel. The player number “5” is handwritten on the knob and top barrel in black marker. Bench signed the barrel of the bat in blue marker and in our opinion the signature rates a 9. Accompanied by a PSA/DNA LOA grading the bat a GU 7.
