Joe DiMaggio’s incredible hit streak of 56 games ended on July 17, 1941 with the help of Ken Keltner’s two backhanded plays. DiMaggio went on to hit safely in the next 16 games. Keltner's two heroic stops of what seemed to be sure hits in the earlier innings made the difference between a 56-game streak and a 73-game streak. Manufactured Rawlings OAL Brown baseball signed by both Keltner and DiMaggio in blue ink and in our opinion the signatures rate a combined 8.5. Moderate toning and spotting are present on the ball.
