This type 1 wire photo from 1936 depicts Hall of Famer and legend Lou Gehrig at bat against the Washington Nationals on Opening Day, where President Roosevelt threw out the first pitch to open the season. Gehrig signed the black and white photo in black ink and has been graded by JSA a 9. Stamped onto the back is “WIDE WORLD PHOTOS”. Vintage aging is present. Accompanied by a Full JSA LOA.
