Glenn Davis won the 1946 Heisman Trophy and was named the Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year. Davis still holds the NCAA career record for yards per carry at 8.26 while averaging a touchdown almost every nine plays. In 1961, Davis was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Inside the hood of the sweatshirt is the “Alex Taylor” manufacturer’s tag. Across the front reads “WEST POINT” in grey on yellow felt. On the back is the military issued number “396” in white felt. There are repairs done to both underarms. The hooded sweatshirt has remained in beautiful condition as it has been in the care of his family for many years. This sweatshirt is properly tagged, was presented to us as player-worn and shows wear. Accompanied by a Davis family LOA.
