There are only two numbers retired by the Buffalo Bills and one is Jim Kelly’s No. 12. The five-time Pro Bowler led the NFL in touchdown passes one time and was Second-Team All-Pro twice. Kelly was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002 on the first ballot. On the front left tail is a “Champion” size “44” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Adjacent is a “Champion” distributor’s tag that reads, “DESIGNED & TAILORED 1994 EXCLUSIVELY FOR BUFFALO BILLS”. On the left inseam is a tag that reads, “100% POLYESTER”. On the v-neck is the official “NFL” shield logo embroidered. On the left chest is an NFL 75th Anniversary patch embroidered and on the right chest is a patch embroidered that reads, “BILLS 35 1960 1994”. The player number “12” appears on the front, on the back and on each sleeve. These are painted in blue with a red-painted border. Across the back reads the player name, “KELLY” painted in blue on a white nameplate. Kelly signed adjacent to the player name in black marker and in our opinion, rates an 8-9 overall. Above the player number on each sleeve is a Champion logo embroidered. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriately light use. Sourced from the Miami Dolphins equipment manager who states he was given the jersey by an equipment manager of the Buffalo Bills, however the original letter has been lost over time. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
