Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon played his college basketball at the University of Houston which included three trips to the Final Four. Olajuwon was drafted by the Houston Rockets with the first overall selection of the 1984 NBA draft, a draft that included Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, and John Stockton. Inside the right button path is the Rawlings manufacturer’s tag size “40” with washing instructions. Handwritten on this tag is the player number “34” in black marker. On the left inseam is an additional Rawlings tag size “ADULT 40”. On the left chest is the Houston “UH” logo. Vertically down the right reads “HOUSTON”. Across the back reads “Phi Slamma Jamma” in script. All numbering and lettering is done in red on white on blue tackle twill. Inside the rear waistband of the pants is the Rawlings manufacturer’s tag size “34” with washing instructions and the player number “34” handwritten on in black marker. An additional Rawlings tag “ADULT 34” is on the back inseam. Olajuwon signed both the jacket and pants on the front in blue marker and in our opinion the signatures rate a combined 8.5. This warm-up suit is properly tagged, was presented to us as player-worn and shows wear. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA and a MEARS LOA.
