Artis Gilmore was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011. On the left front tail of this knit jersey is the Sand-Knit manufacturer's tag size “46”. Above is an additional manufacturer's exclusive tag that reads "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Boston Celtics." Adjacent are two additional manufacturer's strip tags with "2” L.B." and “87” on them. On the upper left chest is the official “NBA” logo embroidered. Across the chest is "CELTICS." Below is the player number "53". Across the back is "GILMORE” and the player number “53”. All lettering and numbering is done in green tackle twill. Gilmore signed the back of the jersey in black marker and in our opinion the signature rates a 6. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriately light use with yellowing to the body for the limited amount of games he was there.
