Ken Griffey Jr. was inducted into the Hall of Fame on the first ballot in 2016 with 99.32% of the vote. In 1997, Griffey Jr. led the Seattle Mariners to a division championship and captured the American League Most Valuable Player Award, hitting .304, with 56 home runs and 147 RBIs. On the front left tail is the Russell Athletic manufacturer’s tag size “48” with washing instructions. Attached are three tags reading “100% POLYESTER”, “2” EXTRA BODY LENGTH” and “1997”. On the left sleeve is a Mariners “20th ANNIVERSARY” logo patch and on the right sleeve is the “Jackie Robinson 50th BREAKING BARRIERS” anniversary patch and a Russell Athletic logo embroidered. Across the chest reads “SEATTLE” in navy blue on teal on white triple tackle twill. Across the back on a grey nameplate reads the player name “GRIFFEY” and below is player number “24”. These are done in the same navy blue on teal tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
