The American Basketball Association was formed in 1967 as a rival to the NBA and lasted until the two leagues merged in 1976. The ABA was distinguished by its red, white and blue color-schemed ball, as well as a more high-paced, flashy style of play and rules variations. The ABA pioneered the 3-point line and the slam dunk contest. The offered Rawlings manufactured “Official ABA” basketball is unused and features a stamped signature from commissioner Mike Storen. This is the most complete and finest example known. The original Rawlings box is included, which shows vintage aging, wear and period fading but has "BASKETBALL ABA" stamped on it.
Pristine 1973-74 ABA Original Basketball New In Box With Rawlings Paperwork (One Of The Most Complete & Finest Examples • Very Rare)
