Mike Piazza was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016. One of the best hitting catchers in MLB history, Piazza is a 12-time All-Star, a 10-time Silver Slugger Award winner and has a record 396 home runs at the position. In the rear collar is the Mitchell & Ness manufacturers tag with an attached flag tag reading the size “XXL”. On the front left tail is an additional Mitchell & Ness “Cooperstown Collection” tag and a felt strip tag reading “T.B.C. 7-17-99”. Attached to the inside rear middle tail is a flag tag with jersey materials, washing instructions and reads the size “XXL”. Across the chest reads “NEW YORK”. The player number “31” appears on the front and back. All numbering and lettering is done in blue felt on orange tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the MLB “100TH ANNIVERSARY” patch. Piazza signed the front of the jersey in blue marker with the added inscription “GU” and in our opinion the signature rates an 8. The sleeves have been custom cut presumably for player comfort. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a Full LOA from JSA.
