Frankie Frisch enjoyed a 19-season Hall of Fame career that saw him become the backbone of two team's winning fortunes. Frisch, a fiery, spit-in-your-eye leader and superb infielder, captained the Giants to four straight NL pennants from 1921 to 1924. He then sparked the St. Louis Cardinals' "Gashouse Gang" to four pennants and two championships, the last as player-manager in 1934 when the Redbirds beat the Detroit Tigers in a tumultuous World Series. On the front left tail is the Rawlings manufacturers tag with an attached box tag reading the size “44”. Adjacent below reads “Frank Frisch 34” embroidered in red stain stitching. Across the chest reads “Cardinals” beneath their team “Birds on a bat” logo done in red, black, navy blue and yellow embroidery. On the back is the player number “3” in red felt. In the rear waistband of the pants is the Rawlings manufacturers tag. Attached is a flag tag reading “SET 1 1959” and three box tags reading the size “44”, “24” Inseam” and one with washing instructions. Adjacent below is a felt strip tag reading “Frank Frisch 34” embroidered in red chain stitching. Inside the rear sweatband of the cap is the Rawlings manufacturers tag with an adjacent size “7 ¼” stamp. The player number “3” is handwritten underneath the bill. Also included are a belt and pair of stirrup socks. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as old-timers worn and shows use. This is one of only two known Frisch flannels. Accompanied by a Photo-Match.com LOA grading the jersey a perfect 10.
