Hall of Famer Derek Jeter was drafted by the New York Yankees in the first round of the 1992 amateur draft. He started in the Rookie League before advancing to Class A. In just two seasons in the minors, Jeter was named Most Outstanding Major League Prospect and Best Defensive Shortstop. In 1995, he was called up from Class-A to Class-AAA within the season. This bat dates between 1994-97 and serves as a rookie era example from “The Captain”. Manufacturer: Hillerich & Bradsby Model Number: P72 Length: 33.5 in. Weight 32.3 oz. Labeling Period: 1994-97 Wood: Ash Finish: Black Condition: Uncracked. The bat exhibits light use and possesses identifiable player use characteristics. Jeter signed the barrel of the bat in silver marker with the added inscription “ROY 96” and in our opinion the signature rates a 7. Accompanied by two PSA/DNA LOAs, one grading the bat a GU 7 and one for the autograph.
