Earvin “Magic” Johnson is widely considered one of the greatest point guards of all-time, leading the “Showtime” Lakers to five NBA Championships. During Magic’s rookie campaign of 1979-80, he became the only rookie to win the NBA Finals MVP award, and his clutch performance is still regarded as one of the finest in NBA history. Earvin was voted to the NBA 50 Greatest Players in 1996 and elected to the Hall of Fame in 2002. On the front middle tail is the Tiernan manufacturer’s tag. This tag is tinged yellow from multiple washings. Across the chest reads “LAKERS”. Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “32”. Across the back is the player name “JOHNSON”. All numbering and lettering is done in the same purple on white tackle twill. Johnson signed the back of the jersey in black marker and in our opinion the signature rates a strong 8. The jersey features an earlier style of durene trim which is correct for rookie era Magic jerseys and were phased out shortly after. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
