Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2005, Steve Young is a three-time Super Bowl champion, a Super Bowl MVP, a two-time regular season MVP and holds the record for earning six passing titles. Young’s No. 8 is retired by the San Francisco 49ers franchise. On the left front tail is the “Reebok” manufacturer’s tag with “1996”. Inside the rear collar is a second “Reebok” tag with wash instructions and jersey size “L” with an attached flag tag reading “100% NYLON”. The player number “8” appears on the front, back and on both shoulders. The player name “YOUNG” appears on back on a red nameplate. All numbering and lettering is done in white on gold on black triple tackle twill. On each sleeve is the Reebok embroidered logo along with the team “SF” heat transferred onto the shirt. At the V-neck is the official “NFL” logo shield. On the upper left chest is the team’s “SF 1946-1996 50” embroidered anniversary patch. Young signed the back of the jersey in black marker and in our opinion the signature rates an 8. There is evidence of prior framing throughout the jersey. This jersey is properly tagged and was presented to us as game-issued. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
