The top of the contract reads “this 4th day of June, 1932 by and between “CHICAGO NATIONAL LEAGUE BASEBALL CLUB” and “NEWARK BASEBALL & EXHIBITION CO.” and the player “L.H. NEWSON”. The body of the contract reads “The contract of this player is transferred under option, for a cash consideration of One Hundred Dollars. The party of the First Part shall have the right to recall Player Newsom on or before September 15, 1932 for a cash consideration of Five Hundred Dollars.” The bottom right has been signed by a member of the Chicago National League Ball Club and a member of the Newark Baseball & Exhibition Co. in black pen and in our opinion the signatures rate a combined 9. Properly stamped as “RECEIVED” by the Baseball Office Of Commissioner on “JUN 9 1932”. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
