On a snowy Sunday in December 1982, the Patriots snow plow operator cleared a patch of grass to allow kicker John Smith to kick the game winning field goal and beat the Miami Dolphins 3-0 which now is better known as the “Snow Plow Game”. Offered is the jersey quarterback Matt Cavanaugh likely wore during this game. On the front left tail is the Sand-Knit manufacturers tag size “LARGE 42-44” with washing instructions. Adjacent above is a tag that reads “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS”. The jersey features built in hand warmers on the front. Across the front, back and on both sleeves is the player number “12” screened in white on blue. Across the back on a red nameplate is the player name “CAVANAUGH” in white vinyl. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by a HA LOA.
