Future Hall of Famer Alex Ovechkin wore this jersey against the Montreal Canadiens at home on October 9, 2014, the team’s regular season opener. Ovechkin led the NHL in scoring the 2014-15 season, scoring 53 goals to capture the Maurice Richard Trophy, an award he has won a record eight times. On the inside of left rear tail is a “MeiGrayGroup” tag that reads, “NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2014-2015 Season L01504”. On the left inseam is a Reebok materials tag with washing instructions. There are three fight straps including. On the inside below the rear collar is a size “58” tag. On the v-neck is the official “NHL” shield logo embroidered. On the left chest is the Captain’s “C” in navy blue on red tackle twill. On the front reads, “WASHINGTON” in red stitching on white tackle twill and below reads, “capitals” in navy blue and red on white tackle twill. The player number “8” appears on the back and on both sleeves and across the back reads the player name, “OVECHKIN” on a white mesh nameplate. These are done in navy blue on red tackle twill. Above the player name reads, “Reebok” in white stitching. On the right shoulder is the NHL “40 1974-2014” anniversary patch. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a Washington Capitals LOA and Photo-Match.com LOA’s confirming the match and grading the jersey a perfect 10.
