Jim Rice was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2009. The eight-time All-Star selection won two Silver Slugger Awards and was the AL MVP in 1978, after becoming the first major league player in 19 years to hit for 400 total bases. Rice hit .315 with 46 home runs and drove in 139 runs to capture the award. This award bowl stands approximately 4” high and has a circumference of almost 9”. Engraved on the front reads “JIM RICE AMERICAN LEAGUE 1978 MVP”. Stamped on the bottom “WM ROGERS”. Vintage aging and condition issues are present throughout including minor scratches and staining.
