Dave Winfield was one of the best athletes to play the game of baseball and became a first-ballot Hall of Famer in 2001. A World Series champion, Winfield was a 12-time All-Star and earned seven Gold Glove Awards and six Silver Slugger Awards. On the front left tail is the Wilson manufacturers tag size “44” with washing instructions. In the rear collar is a strip tag reading “Winfield 85 1” embroidered in chain stitching. On the left chest is the Yankees interlocking “NY” logo and on the back is the player number “31”. All numbering and lettering is done in navy blue tackle twill. Winfield signed the front of the jersey in blue marker and in our opinion the signature rates a 6. There is minor staining throughout the front and back. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
