The most productive DH in MLB history, David Ortiz holds the DH records for home runs, RBI and hits. He is currently in the top-20 in MLB history in career home runs and is a three-time World Series champion. Ortiz led the league with 54 home runs in 2006 and will be remembered as one of the most popular Red Sox players of all time. Offered is Big Papi’s 2005 All-Star Game jersey held in Detroit. Ortiz started the game for the AL and finished the game 2-3 with an RBI in a 7-5 victory. This jersey was worn earlier in the 2005 season as well and was patched for the All-Star Game. On the front left tail is the Majestic manufacturers tag. Attached is a strip tag reading “34 54 05” embroidered in black. On the left inseam is a flag tag with jersey materials and washing instructions. On the right sleeve is the “MLB ALL-STAR GAME 2005” patch and on the left sleeve is a Majestic logo embroidered. Across the chest reads “RED SOX” and on the back is the player number “34”. All numbering and lettering is done in red on navy blue tackle twill. On the back collar is a MLB logo patch.
