Larry Bird was voted one of the Top 50 players in NBA history in 1996 and in 1998 was elected to the Hall of Fame. The Celtics switched from their traditional knits to mesh for the 1987-88 playoffs, making this a postseason jersey. On the front left tail is the Sand-Knit manufacturers tag size “46”. Adjacent above is the “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the BOSTON CELTICS” tag. Adjacent to the right are two strip tags reading “87” and “3” LB”. On the right inseam is a flag tag with jersey materials and washing instructions. On the upper left chest is the official “NBA” logo embroidered. Across the chest reads “CELTICS”. Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “33” and across the back is the player name “BIRD”. All numbering and lettering is done in the same green tackle twill. There is slight yellowing to the jersey and an autograph on the front has been faded out. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use.
