Charles “Easy Ed” Macauley frustrated many of the game’s greatest big men with his swift moves and precise hook shots. Macauley started his ten-year NBA career with the St. Louis Bombers, played six seasons with the Boston Celtics and finished his career with the St. Louis Hawks. He participated in 7 consecutive NBA All-Star games, including the first ever in 1951 where he was named the All-Star game MVP. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1960 at the age of 32 and still holds the record for youngest male player to be admitted. On the front middle tail is the Horace Partridge manufacturers tag size “40”. Across the front and back is the player number “22” in blue tackle twill surrounded by six stars in red tackle twill. Macauley signed the front of the jersey in black marker with the added inscription “H.O.F. ‘60” and in our opinion the signature rates an 8. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a Full LOA from JSA, a Macauley family LOA and a Photo-Match.com LOA grading the jersey a perfect 10.
