Before the construction of Yankee Stadium, and even the arrival Babe Ruth, this gorgeous sweater ranks among the earliest Yankee relics we have seen. This desirable and exceedingly rare wool sweater has been perfectly style matched to a photo of the late great Urban Shocker. The rear neck area features a strip tag that reads “9989 42”. On the left chest is the iconic Yankees interlocking “NY” logo in white felt. The wool sweater remains in fantastic all-original condition with only a few scattered defects throughout the body. This sweater is properly tagged and was presented to us as player worn. An incredible piece from baseball’s most storied franchise before they began their Championship runs.
