Frank Robinson is in the storied “500 Home Run” club after clubbing 586 home runs. Throughout his career he would go on to win two World Series Championships and is the only player to be named MVP in both leagues, 1961 with Cincinnati and 1966 with Baltimore where he also won the triple crown. In 1975, Robinson made more history becoming the first black manager in Major League Baseball as a player/manager with the Cleveland Indians. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1982. In the rear below the collar is the Wilson manufacturer’s tag size “42” with washing instructions. On the left sleeve is the Indians team logo patch. Across the chest reads “INDIANS”. On the back is the player/manager number “20” and across the back is the name “ROBINSON”. All numbering and lettering is done in blue tackle twill. The “Cleveland Sports Spirit of 76” patch has been removed from the right sleeve and the outline is present. There is dirt staining throughout the front of the jersey. This jersey is a very rare white example. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by a LOA from Photo-Match.com grading the jersey a 9.
