In 1998, David Wells and the New York Yankees completed one of the most dominant regular seasons en route to another World Series title. Along the way, Wells pitched the 15th perfect game in MLB history in May of that season. On the front left tail is the Russell Athletic manufacturer’s tag size “52” with washing instructions. Attached is a flag tag reading “100% POLYESTER”. Adjacent below is a strip tag reading “1998”. On the left chest is the team’s interlocking “NY” logo and on the back is the player number “33”. All numbering and lettering is done in navy blue tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
