This powder blue knit jersey was worn by Bret Saberhagen during his Rookie season which was just prior to his first Cy Young season. On the front left tail is the Wilson manufacturer’s tag size “42” with washing instructions. Attached is a flag tag reading “TAPERED”. Adjacent below is a strip tag reading the year “84” embroidered in blue chain stitching. On the left sleeve is the Royals “Crown” team logo patch. Across the chest reads “Royals” in script style writing. Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “31” and across the back reads the player name “SABERHAGEN”. The name on back has been restored. All numbering and lettering is done in white tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
