The Dallas Cowboys crushed the Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl XXVII by the score of 52–17, winning their third Super Bowl with Troy Aikman at quarterback. Aikman was named Super Bowl MVP, completing 22 of 30 passes for 273 yards and four touchdowns. The team's 52 points scored was second to only the 55 points by San Francisco in Super Bowl XXIV. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006, Aikman spent his entire 12-year career with the Dallas Cowboys going to six Pro Bowls. Offered in this lot is the jersey Aikman wore during Super Bowl XXVII. The jersey has not been washed and shows incredible use with helmet marks and grass staining throughout showing it was also worn in the regular season. There are multiple repairs on the back of the jersey including one inside the player number “8”. On the front left tail is the Russell Athletic manufacturer’s tag size “48” with washing instructions. Attached are two flag tags reading “100% NYLON” and “4” Extra Body Length”. On both sleeves is a “Russel” logo. On the v-neck is the official “NFL” shield logo patch. On the front, back, and on both shoulders is the player number “8” screen printed in blue. Across the back on a white nameplate is the player name “AIKMAN” also screen printed in blue. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as Super Bowl worn and in our opinion shows outstanding use.
