John Franco spent 15 of his 22 seasons with the New York Mets and his 1,119 career games pitched is an National League record. Franco has the fourth most saves in MLB history and is the all-time leader in saves by a left-handed pitcher. Franco is a member of the New York Mets Hall of Fame. On the inside of the front left tail is a “Rawlings” size “46” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached adjacent is a flag tag with “T” embroidered on it and a tag with “91R” embroidered on it in blue stitching. Across the chest reads, “NEW YORK”, on the back is the player number “31” and across the back reads the player name, “FRANCO”. All numbering and lettering is done in blue on orange on white triple tackle twill sewn directly onto the grey jersey. Franco signed the jersey above “YORK” and below the back player name in black pen and in our opinion, rates a 7 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and an LOA from Tony Harris, the athletic trainer of the Detroit Pistons and Philadelphia 76ers.
