Reggie Jackson won three consecutive World Series with the Oakland Athletics and an American League MVP award. Jackson led the AL in home runs four times and was the World Series MVP twice. Jackson, a first ballot National Baseball Hall of Fame inductee in 1993, has his No. 9 retired by the Athletics franchise. On the inside of the front left tail is a “Rawlings” size “44” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached adjacent is a flag tag that reads, “SET 1 1987” and a grey strip tag with, “1 87” embroidered on it in green stitching. Across the chest reads, “Oakland” and the player number “44” appears on both the front and on the back. These are done in green on yellow tackle twill. Across the back reads the player name, “JACKSON” in green tackle twill sewn onto a grey nameplate. On the left sleeve is an embroidered patch that reads, “OAKLAND A’S 1987 ALL-STAR GAME”. On the right sleeve reads, “Rawlings” in green stitching. Jackson signed the right chest area in black pen and in our opinion, rates a 7 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows light use. Accompanied by a full JSA LOA and an LOA from Howard Perch, who states the jersey was, “acquired from the former director of team travel for the New York Yankees. It is all original with no alterations of any kind." Perch was a batting practice pitcher for the Chicago White Sox and Pittsburgh Pirates minor league affiliates in the South Atlantic League.
