This jersey could have been worn by either or both Sammy Sosa and Eddie Williams. Both players played less than 50 games for the Chicago White Sox in 1989. On the inside of the front left tail is a “Rawlings” size “44” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached is a flag tag that reads, “SET 1 1989”. This style of manufacturer tag is typically seen on shirts produced in 1990. This may account for the late season nature needed for Sosa. Across the chest reads, “White Sox” and on the back is the player number “25”. All numbering and lettering is done in navy blue on red tackle twill sewn directly onto the white jersey. On the right sleeve reads, “Rawlings” in navy blue stitching. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
