Elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989, Carl Yastrzemski spent 23 years with the Boston Red Sox, winning the Triple Crown, American League MVP and three AL batting championships. Yaz has his No. 8 retired by the franchise and was an 18-time All-Star. On the front center tail is a “1978” year tag and a tag with washing instructions. On the inside below the rear collar is a “McAULIFFE UNIFORM CORP.” manufacturer’s tag with a size “42” flag tag attached below. Across the chest reads, “RED SOX” and on the back is the player number “8”. All numbering and lettering is done in red on navy blue tackle twill. Yastrzemski signed on the front and on the back below the player number in black pen and in our opinion, rates a 7 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows light use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and an additional LOA that states the source of the jersey.
