The "Iron Man", Cal Ripken Jr. was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007 on the first ballot. A two-time American League MVP, Ripken was a 19-time All-Star, has his No. 8 retired by the Baltimore Orioles franchise and was named to the MLB All-Century Team. On the front left tail is a "RUSSELL ATHLETIC" size "48" manufacturer's tag with washing instructions. Attached below is a "1998" year tag and a tag that reads, "100% POLYESTER". Across the chest reads, "Orioles", the player number "8" appears on the back and across the back reads the player name, "RIPKEN" on a white nameplate. These are done in black on orange tackle twill. The player number appears on the front left side in orange on black tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the team's oriole logo patch embroidered and on the right sleeve is a Russell Athletic logo embroidered. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
