Frank Robinson was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982. A two-time World Series champion and noted home run slugger, Robinson became the first African-American manager in MLB history. As a manager, Robinson earned one AL Manager of the Year Award. Robinson has his No. 20 retired by the Baltimore Orioles franchise. On the inside of the front right tail is a “Rawlings” size “42” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached adjacent is a flag tag that reads, “SET 1 1979”. Robinson signed the front left tail is black pen with the added inscription, “1979 A.L. CHAMPS” and in our opinion, rates an 8 overall. Across the chest reads, “Orioles”, the coach’s number “20” appears on both the front and on the back and across the back reads the coach’s name, “ROBINSON” on a white nameplate. All numbering and lettering is done in orange on black tackle twill. On the inside of the left chest is a cigarette pouch sewn in, custom made for Robinson. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as coaches-worn and in our opinion shows appropriate wear. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
