In 2005, Wade Boggs was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on the first ballot. Boggs was the American League batting champion five times, was a 12-time All-Star and won a World Series. On the inside of the front left tail is a “Rawlings” size “44” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached is a flag tag that reads, “SET 1 1989”. Across the chest reads, “BOSTON” and on the back is the player number “26”. Both of these are done in navy blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the grey jersey. On the right sleeve, “Rawlings” is embroidered in navy blue stitching. Boggs signed the left chest in pen and in our opinion, rates a 6 overall. There is faint remnants of writing below. On the inside of the rear waistline is a “Rawlings” size “34” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached is a flag tag that reads, “SET 1 1989” and a strip tag with “26 26” embroidered on it. Adjacent to the button path, the number “34” is stamped. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
