On the inside of the shell is a “Riddell” manufacturer’s tag with the model “WD1”. Also inside the shell is a size “6 7-8” sticker. On the forehead pad reads, “BEAU ORTMAYER” in blue pen. Steve Ortmayer was the San Diego Chargers General Manager from 1987 to 1989 and we presume his son, Beau, got his hands on this helmet at one point. “SCHUTT” manufactured facemask with clips that read, “(blank) 87” and “87 (blank)”. The front of the helmet reads, “CHARGERS”. On the back of the helmet is the player number decals “4” and “0”. On each side of the helmet is the team’s lightning bolt logo decal. Light scuffing on the outer shell. This helmet is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
