The all-time home run king Barry Bonds was appointment television during the 2001 season when cracking down on Mark McGwire’s single-season home run mark of 70. Bonds set the bar with 73 home runs in a single-season, a record that may never be broken. The 2001 season was one of seven National League MVP seasons for Bonds, who was also a 14-time All-Star. Manuf: Original Maple Bat Co., Model Number: BONDS 2K1, Length: 34 in., Weight: 32.9 oz., Wood: Maple with a black/brown finish, Labeling Period: 2001, Condition: Uncracked. Ball/hit marks are present on the left and back barrel. Cleat marks are on the left barrel. Light pine tar use on the hand. Thirteen ½” of white tape on the hand and knob. Spiral pattern into XXX. There is a donut impression on the bat. On the barrel end reads, “34” - 319 OZ - 060901 - B2K1 - B.B.” in black pen. The bat exhibits evidence of medium and outstanding player use attributes. On the knob is PSA/DNA sticker “1B11639”. On the barrel is a Barry Bonds hologram sticker. On barrel in gold pen is the inscription, “9-28-01 #562”, penned in the hand of one of Bonds’ representatives. A clubhouse Bonds autograph has been professionally removed with little-to-no trace of evidence. This bat is photo-matched to Bonds’ 68th home run of his historic 73-home run season and is the highest number Bonds’ home run ever made publicly available. GFA will pay fo ra new Bonds autograph if the winner chooses. Accompanied by a LOA from PSA/DNA grading the bat a GU10 and a Bonds COA.
