Catfish Hunter was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1987. Hunter won five World Series championships and had his best season in 1974 when he led the MLB in wins, won the World Series and won the AL Cy Young award. His No. 27 is retired by the Oakland Athletics franchise. On the front left tail is a “McAULIFFE UNIFORM CORP.” manufacturer’s tag. Below is a year “71” tag and a size “46” tag. On the left chest is the team’s “A’s” logo and on the right side of the jersey and on the back is the player number “27”. All numbering and lettering are done in green on white tackle twill sewn directly onto the yellow vest. The name on the back has been removed. All other parts of the jersey are in all-original condition. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by an additional LOA.
